Andrew Buxton joined Barclays Bank in 1963 and retired in 1999 as Chairman of the bank. He has been a member of the Court of the Bank of England and President of the British Bankers Association. He served as a director of several companies, including Smithkline Beecham, Xansa plc, and the Development Bank of Singapore. He also served as the Chairman of the Saudi British Business Council. He was made a Companion of the order of St Michael and St George in 2003 for services to international trade.
David Millard started his working life as a corporate planner in local government eventually moving to the private sector where his career in management consultancy spanned three decades. After working in a senior position with Hoskyns and then Capgemini, he co-founded Hedra Limited, which became one of the most successful public-sector consultancies in the ‘90s and 00’s, David acted as Managing Director for a time and played a key role in developing the business. Since retiring he has served as an advisor to several businesses, including Testhouse.
Mike Nithavrianakis is a career diplomat whose most recent posting was British Deputy High Commissioner in South India, based in Chennai from 2009-2013. He has since taken a sabbatical from the FCO to develop his skills and expertise in the private sector. On returning to the UK in late 2013, he established his own consultancy, Castle Gordon, which has a major focus on Indo-UK partnerships. Mike joined the advisory board of Testhouse in 2014.
